I began my matchmaking career in 1989 after many years of dabbling in other vocations. I never could have imagined that 33 years later I would still be a professional matchmaker even though my goal was to make this a lifetime career. I attribute this success to the structure of the service. Bon Jour Matchmaking Service was created when I was 33 years old and my clientele ranged from 25-40. At this time I represent clients ranging in age from 27-65! They are made up of Denver’s elite, well read and educated professionals who are financially stable, active singles who desire a lasting marriage or relationship.
As a professional personalized matchmaker it has been most important for me to study and evaluate the landscape of the local matchmaking scene. Knowing how other services operate has assisted me in structuring Bon Jour Matchmaking Service to be extremely client friendly, with reasonable fees and personal attention.
Along with my matchmaking credentials I have done extensive volunteering over the years in Denver. For 5 years I volunteered with The NFL Alumni Association participating in golf tournaments to raise money for Children’s Hospital. As a rape crisis hotline counselor for RAAP; at Safehouse for Battered Women as a counselor; as a bereavement counselor for a local hospice; as a volunteer in local retirement homes and mentoring teenage girls whose family situations did not allow for nurturing during the difficult teenage years. Also helping to care for an elderly woman (whose husband had passed) for six years until her death at age 94. All of this experience in volunteering in our community has added to my ease and ability to work with clients in this very personal service.
Norm Early, the former District Attorney of Denver, nominated me for Business Woman of the Year. Local and national celebrities, anchor people and well-known local personalities have chosen to work with me to find their ideal mate over the 33 years I’ve been practicing professional matchmaking. Channel 7 has also sent me a Certificate of Excellence based on nominations from clients.
