You know how you are dating someone, and something seems off but there is no communication from that person? So, you call your friends and ask their take, their advice and their insight. Then they are guessing as to what might be going on and as to how you should handle it. NOT IN BON JOUR MATCHMAKING SERVICE!
Because I am coaching both sides of the couple, if there is something askew, I can detect it right away from the feedback, share that info and help clarify and correct the issue. For example, I had a woman who had been dating a guy for a couple of months. She called and said she was crazy about him. She was the first person he met on the list of women he selected during his interview.
Well, that was great news because she had been a client at that point for 11 years. But I need the whole story. So, we hung up and I promptly called the man. He said he wanted to continue on his list. I asked why and he shared that he was doing all the work. Planning, calling, driving and he was looking for a partner. So, I hung up, called her back and told her EXACTLY what he had said. She was taken aback, had no clue. I said he selected 7 other women to meet, if you don’t become more engaged as a partner, someone else will. So, it’s up to you if you really are crazy about him. Apparently, she followed through on my advice as they married one year later! He married the first and only person he met, this was her 4th and last marriage (partly why she was a client for so long, 3 divorces are not a big seller).
That’s making relationships succeed in Bon Jour, not just throwing people together and whatever happens happens.
