IT’S NOT ABOUT MONEY FOR THIS DENVER MATCHMAKER EVEN WITH CELEBRITIES

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

In many of the posts both on my Blog and Pages I’ve reiterated that I decline more prospects than I accept as I need to protect my clients and that person needs to fit in with the service.

This week a well known and controversial Denver personality contacted me to become a client of Bon Jour Matchmaking.  First the good stuff…he’s in great shape, attractive, intelligent, articulate, well read, financially well off and recently infamous…

In some other posts I referred to the fact that even though I’ve been practicing Denver matchmaking for 25 years, on this 25th anniversary situations are coming up that have NEVER come up before…

I was surprised to hear from this particular person as our paths have crossed in the past and according to him, he didn’t see any value in this type of service at that time.  So first of all he wanted to…

REVIEW FROM MY CLIENT OF A DENVER MATCHMAKING SERVICE

Hi Michele,

I know you like to post on your website warning single people of the local Denver matchmaking services that are less than scrupulous.  As you know, I used It’s Just Lunch (should be called, It’s Just a Huge Waste of Your Time and Money) before I started working with you at Bon Jour Matchmaking. I’ve had problems with them calling me every few months ever since I stopped using their service…which I stopped in July 2012!

I hope you can warn people – do not give these people your contact information. They will just keep calling and calling until they drive you crazy, even if you spell out for them exactly what you didn’t like and tell them in no uncertain terms you would NEVER utilize their so called service again. I would complain to their Corporate HQ but the people that run this are so dishonest, I know it wouldn’t make a whit of difference. Thank goodness for caller ID, but still a huge aggravation. In my humble opinion, lack of respect for your privacy is another great reason to be careful who you work with in such a personal endeavor.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

Best,

J.H.

UNDERSTANDING BON JOUR MATCHMAKING’S FEE STRUCTURE

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

Rather than have a flat fee painting everyone with the same brush OR having preliminary interviews to assess how much I think a client can afford to quote their fee like most other Denver matchmakers…Bon Jour’s fee structure ranges from $4500 to $5500.

It is based on these four criteria:

  • How much I think I can do for you
  • How marketable you are within my service
  • Challenges you may have
  • Your expectations

So don’t get excited if I quote you a lower end fee.  It means I can help you but there may be challenges that will effect your success.

The higher to the upper end of the fee structure means I either know clients who might be interested in meeting you or you are the type of person most of my clients prefer.  Also you may be a person with less challenges, i.e. multiple divorces, lots of…

RERUN…WHY MATCHMAKERS, DATING COACHING AND DATING SERVICES DON’T WORK FOR EVERYONE

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

Is It Always the Services’ Fault?

After 34 years of matchmaking in Denver (or this applies to anywhere) the impression has become very clear that singles think that if they “pay a lot of money” to a matchmaker, matchmaking service, etc. THAT will be the definitive way to meet the right match.  The more expensive the service, the more of a guarantee they “think” they are making to assure this outcome.

As you’ve read on my last Post about an outrageously expensive “matchmaking” company run by Lisa Clampitt in New York, she appeared, from the Complaint, to have not disclosed information or followed her client’s wishes.  But the guy who wrote that Complaint agreed to pay $1500 to meet ONE woman without seeing any information except a picture.  So whose fault was that really?  You have to be a wise consumer!  The fact he paid $1500 did not make…

WORKING WITH A MATCHMAKER SHOWS YOUR WORTH

Rather than feeling like people perceive you as desperate or a loser, you should really feel that because you are so special and have so much going for you that you’ve chosen to have the exclusive representation of a professional matchmaker!

Working with a Denver matchmaker is not something you should feel embarrassed about.  Do you feel embarrassed that you have a CPA do your taxes?  That you have a hairdresser cut and/or style your hair?  That you have a stock broker manage your investments?  You choose to work with professionals who excel in their fields so that you will get the best results.  Why would that be any different with a professional Denver matchmaker?

You would think people would be more embarrassed to admit they met on the Internet dating sites, dating apps or in a bar.  In this day and age those venues are more for the average single, whereas hiring a Denver matchmaking service to work with you is more for single, well educated professionals who have excelled in their chosen careers.  Denver singles who are discriminating in who they wish to introduce into their successful lives and share a future with.

So now in 2023 consider yourself intelligent, careful and worth hiring a professional Denver matchmaker to achieve your personal goal.

BON JOUR IS ALL IN UNTIL YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

As far as I know Bon Jour Matchmaking is, and has been, the only Denver matchmaking service that has offered for 30+ years an open-ended contract FREE OF CHARGE to EVERY client.

What is the value of an open-ended contract? There is no way to know when the “right” person for you will come in so to have a limited contract that a company continues to try to resign you to make fees is worthless. Let’s say you have a 6 month contract with another service and the “perfect” person for you comes in in month 7…too bad for you!

In addition I do not waste your time setting you up with people who do not fit the criteria you’ve set forth. I adhere very closely to that (so be careful what you stipulate) unlike the other Denver matchmakers (read their reviews, they are consistent how they’ve been set…

34+ YEARS of DENVER MATCHMAKING…NO INVESTORS, NO LOANS…IT’S ALL ME

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

Starting in 1989 I have never had an investor give me money towards Bon Jour Matchmaking. I have never taken out a loan. For 34+ years it’s been all my own emotional and monetary investment in this service.

That’s why people love Bon Jour! The intense personalized commitment and interaction with clients has been the key to my success for such a long time.

As the “oldest” Denver matchmaker (possibly the oldest in the country) I know what I’m doing, how to do it properly and do not need to lie about anything to impress potential clients. Both the length of time in business as well as the hundreds of successful marriages define my Denver matchmaking service!

You would be hard pressed to find another Denver matchmaker or Denver dating service with this track record. So if you’re serious, I’m serious…
