I’D RATHER DECLINE THAN DISAPPOINT Your Denver Matchmaking Desires

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

As I’ve written many times on this website, I turn down more potential clients (and income) than I accept.  If I sense that this really is not what you are looking for in a service or potential relationship (doesn’t line up with my clientele) I would rather decline to work together than sign you and disappoint you.

That’s why the initial FREE PHONE CONSULTATION is sooooo important and that you be honest and candid, not only about what type of relationship you desire but also about your personal information.  I recently had two people lie to me about their age and I don’t work with people who lie.  If you want to lie use Internet Dating Sites or Dating Apps!  How do I know they lied?  I do a background check before you become a client both for my safety and for my clients as well as to make…

WHAT TYPES OF PEOPLE ARE NOT RIGHT FOR BON JOUR MATCHMAKING SERVICE

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

To perhaps make things a bit simpler for singles who view this website and have an interest in Bon Jour Matchmaking, but in all honesty just don’t jive with this 34 year established clientele, here are some situations and/or characteristics that MAY preclude you:

  1. An overabundance of piercings;
  2. If when we have the FREE phone consultation you argue with me about the service structure, pictures or anything else, that is a very bad sign to me and shows we are not a match;
  3. Men shorter than 5’7″;
  4. If you are married or separated;
  5. Women wearing a size 12 or higher;
  6. Bald men do not do as well in general BUT that depends…if that is the only thing on this list that doesn’t fit it is worth calling;
  7. Men with “shaved” heads do better than bald men;
  8. If your education ends at high school that will be an issue;
  9. Smokers;

TRUST ME…I’VE BEEN A PROFESSIONAL MATCHMAKER FOR 34 YEARS

Presumably if you are considering hiring a Denver matchmaker it’s because you have not had success on your own. Either because of the venues you’ve chosen or things you have done that didn’t work.

When you hire any professional you defer to their experience and wisdom or else what is the point in working with them? The more experience they have, the more you should trust them.

With 34 years under my belt and my one-on-one, hands-on approach I see how clients react to profiles and the pictures. If someone calls for Bon Jour Matchmaking’s free phone consultation and argues with me about my different types of approach, first of all this is not the service for them. Secondly, I can see the writing on the wall that this will be a difficult client, impossible to please, who will fight me every inch of the way.

This is not a service with multiple “matchmakers”. It’s all me, so I know the clients and how they react to profiles and pictures. If you are considering Bon Jour you need to understand and accept my structure and approach. If you argue with me before even becoming a client, then this is not the service for you. Two potential clients just did that, and I decided not to work with either of them. My clients “get it”…

“READY FOR LOVE” INSPIRES SINGLE DENVER MEN TO JOIN BON JOUR MATCHMAKING

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

Since the show “Ready For Love” started I’ve had a spike in calls from single Denver men interested in Bon Jour Matchmaking Service.  A couple of the men explained that they looked up Kelleher International since one of the Matchmakers on the show is Kelleher and they had so many bad reviews he wouldn’t consider them.  Another, also speaking of Kelleher, said that he had a close friend who worked for them briefly and according to his friend they stick it to the men for thousands of dollars and just throw women at them not at all matching them up for thousands of dollars.

So another episode aired last night and one thing I have in common with the Matchmakers is that even when I give advice to certain clients that I know will serve them well they have not taken it.  Thus undermining a potentially successful relationship.  Remember, I…

RESPONSIVE DENVER MATCHMAKER AND CLIENTS

When you read reviews of other Denver matchmaking services, they often state that they contacted the service multiple times after joining with no response. You will NEVER see that kind of review about Bon Jour Matchmaking Service or me!

Conversely, I expect all of my clients to respond in a timely manner in that I am usually contacting them for someone who is showing interest. This is not the internet dating sites or dating apps. You cannot become a client of Bon Jour and ghost me or my clients. Thus, every client signs a Behavioral contract stating the above. I consider this both good manners and responsibility.

To insure that people I work with are responsive, I email with them before they become a client asking questions and sending information. If they do not respond in a timely manner, or at all, I will cancel their appointment.

Hiring any professional Denver matchmaker is an investment and every client should expect and receive timely responses both from me and from my clients.

WARNING TO COLORADO SINGLES

Do not use matchmaking services that are franchises or are not based in Denver, Colorado if you live here.

Those services will claim they have clients in the Denver area and then contact me and other local matchmaking services saying they have a client here and no one to set them up with. Will I set them up with my clients and they will pay me a small fee to do so! I don’t know them, I don’t know their clients…AND they don’t know me or my clients. So that’s NOT matchmaking! I receive these calls and letters several times a year and have other posts on here showing their communication with me.

If you don’t have clients here, don’t take people’s money! So be an astute consumer, after 34 years of Denver matchmaking I know what I’m talking about. If you choose to go that route you may be sorry.

IT USED TO BE ONLY MEN, BUT NOW IT’S WOMEN TOO

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

First of all, remember I’ve been matchmaking for 34 years so I have a lot of history to draw from. When I share info about singles who call me and either become clients or not, I am referring strictly to MY clientele NOT the whole world.

Over these many years I have gotten calls from men 55+ who are dead set on only meeting women 35-45. Of course, it varies depending on the person but usually 15-20 years younger or more. I choose not to work with those men in that my clients in that age range are only interested in age-appropriate men. Not a judgment call on my part merely the facts about my female clients. That scenario has been going on for years.

BUT in the past about 3 years I have been getting calls from women 55+ who say they’ve been dating men 10 and 15 years…

EVEN I LET ONE SLIP THROUGH EVERY SO OFTEN…BUT THANK GOODNESS NOT EVEN 1 PER YEAR

Michele "the Matchmaker" Fields's avatarBon Jour Matchmaking Service

The FREE phone consultation is for both of us to determine whether this is the right service to achieve what your goal is as well as to assess whether we can work amicably together to that end.

I am REALLY good at assessing whether I can work with someone, their maturity and their stability. But, thank goodness only once in a great while someone slips through who I find is impossible to work with. In this case I can see looking back that if I had declined to work with her she would still have written an equally nasty review…no way to win for me.

Clients have many options to post reviews of companies but companies have no options to review poor clients. So I use my website on occasion to vent/review the very few clients who have been particularly egregious. I usually don’t share their name but in this…
